This award goes to athletes who show up consistently, work hard, and make real progress—and Graham checked every box this week.

His first month of training wasn’t easy. He had every reason to quit—but he didn’t. He pushed through the hard days, stayed committed, and now he’s become one of our best young lifters. That’s what it’s all about.

Graham is a rising 7th grader at Valley Springs Middle School, and we’re proud to have him in the gym

Stella’s first few days in the gym were rough — she came in quiet, hesitant, and unsure of herself. Honestly, her training wasn’t effective at first. Constructive criticism always goes one of two ways you either rise to the occasion or you quit. We told Stella- “You’ve got to get over yourself. You’re not that special. Try hard, be confident, and let’s make some strides.” — a straight-up Kobe Bryant quote that hit home.

She heard it. And she responded.

Since that moment, Stella has completely flipped the switch. She’s been locked in — mastering her lifts, taking criticism without flinching, and turning feedback into results. She’s coachable, consistent, and more confident every week.

Thank you for your hard work Stella. Lastly, thank you for being able to accept hard coaching.

Ty earned Baller of the Week because of one thing: work ethic.

While most athletes are trying to beat the heat with early sessions or skipping training altogether, Ty has been grinding at the toughest time slot of the summer — 7 PM. And not only that… he’s been doing it solo or with just one other person for the last two weeks.

Usually when that happens, athletes drag their feet, lack intensity, or check out mentally. But not Ty. He locked in, embraced the quiet, came with a great attitude, was coachable, and made the most of every minute.

We used that time to zone in on his running and sprint mechanics — and when the rest of the group came back, you could see the difference. The work spoke for itself.

The PSF staff appreciate the hard work!

Jorge and Mariano! Each have earned their title as The Ballers Of The Week on their own ways! But at the end of the day their hard work has punched their way in to winning Ballers Of The Week!

Mariano’s strength is his speed! His weakness is strength training. Instead of shying away his lifting he pushes himself no matter how hard the lift! He never backs down. The best part about it is he still finds an away to joke around and smile through every hard moment. Ask him about learning how to spot people benching, funny story. He is not allowed to spot coach JB or Brew anymore.

Jorge, has been accepting of hard coaching and pushes himself daily in the gym. If you don’t know how the flip the switch and get serious when it’s time to train then you need to come train with Jorge. When it’s time to lift he flips the switch on pushes himself, he always stays until every last thing is done even if he is over his training time, and lastly always ask for a coaches spot his last set of every lift aka pushing himself to the point of failure!!!

These five have been consistent all summer—and even before summer for some. They compete, they push each other, and they never back down from a challenge.

But what really separates them? Their attitude.

We’ve got athletes who walk in, see the workout, and say, “This looks hard,” or “How long is this gonna take?” And they’re not wrong—it is hard. Their mindset walking into the day makes a hour feel like five.

But these five flip it. I hear, “Dang, it’s already over?” or “That went by fast!” every week. Same workouts. Same intensity. The difference is all in the mindset—and that mindset makes hard things feel easy.
